Plogging Kenya in Achieving SDG 12 (Ensure Sustainable Consumption and Production Patterns)

Plogging Kenya conducts Environmental and Events Clean-Ups and Waste Management Awareness Creation in Schools and Local Communities in ensuring that the waste that has been produced and washed into the environment including the plastics is properly managed through collection, transportation, disposal and recycling.

Plogging Kenya is anchored on one of the Global Sustainable Development Goals SDG-12; To ensure sustainable consumption and reduction patterns and under 12.5 By 2030, substantially reduce waste generation through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse. In January 2020, we manage to collaborate with a with a partner that is registered by NEMA to collect transport and recycle waste we pick during Plogging events and recycle as away of embracing circular economy.

  • We are also in partnership with companies that deal with organic waste recycling and paper waste recycling in the spirit of partnership as envisioned by SDG-17 to ensure that all the waste that we collect during any of our events is properly managed for our safer, healthier and cleaner environment.
